should there be a "particles" section on the main page or is it somewhere else? --The Happy Friar 03:02, 9 February 2006 (W. Europe Standard Time)

Particles is a declaration type...
... and can be found here, though noone has written anything yet :). --iceheart 10:06, 9 February 2006 (W. Europe Standard Time)
particles as seperate area...
might not be a bad idea. Even though they're declariations, every other declaration is very script-like & can be edited easily via text editor. Everything but particles.
and, there's seperate texturing (which include the material decl's) & audio design (which include the sound decl's) so a particle would be nice too. --The Happy Friar 15:22, 9 February 2006 (W. Europe Standard Time)
Yes.
You can do that. --iceheart 07:22, 10 February 2006 (W. Europe Standard Time)
Or rather...
... make it a "Featured article" and not an "Editing category" please, It's a little too specific for that, but creating a "Particles" article and linking it from the front page is fine. Ideally it should treat both D3 particles, the D3 FX system and the Q4 FX system (which includes a new particle system). --iceheart 07:25, 10 February 2006 (W. Europe Standard Time)
"Special Effects" anyone?
or maybe visual effects. *shrug* This could include D3 .fx files & particles as well as q4 particles.

Ok
"Visual effects" sounds good to me. --iceheart 10:29, 10 February 2006 (W. Europe Standard Time)
fx...
I don't know anytthing about Q4 FX system but I could learn the D3 system. I've already begun making my own mini-FX system on my own.
"visual effects" would be a good idea though. Maybe "particle/FX system"?--The Happy Friar 19:17, 11 February 2006 (W. Europe Standard Time)
