Talk:Coding

From modwiki

Jump to: navigation, search

It's important that we think of the wiki like a tree where the main page is the trunk, each section is a branch, and every subsection or article is a smaller branch.

Each article needs to tie into each other in some way shape or form for the wiki to be cohesive. Lists of links are fine but they don't do much in the way of explaining how things work.

For example, if you want to write an article about each file in the SDK, find a way to branch from the general subject of coding to the subject of interest.

If you want to post a link to the SDK then explain what the SDK is. Ect... ect...

I'm more than willing to try and help.

True

This is very true, the only reason that this page was a list of links is because I didn't like having a red link in the head menu on the front page :). --iceheart 13:37, 25 Jun 2005 (W. Europe Daylight Time)

need info

there's no info on the recomended compiler by id. I know it's MS .net something, but that should be there. --The Happy Friar 18:54, 17 December 2005 (W. Europe Standard Time)

Link to doom 3 sdk

I've changed the link to the id soft ftp directly, the page on iddevnet pointed to the 1.3 files directly which were removed when 1.3.1 was put up. Maybe should build separate sdk links page which includes iddevnet downloads page which has other useful stuff, and id soft tracker and any other mirrors to SDK. --TinMan 22:20, 10 March 2008 (CET)
